The Toronto Raptors were coming off a pair of series that lasted much longer than anticipated, but it didn’t appear to affect them in the slightest in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Despite Kawhi Leonard carrying the Raptors throughout the postseason, it was Pascal Siakam that shouldered the offensive load in a 118-109 Game 1 win over the Golden State Warriors. Siakam paced Toronto with 32 points on an extremely efficient 14-of-17 shooting performance while also securing a team-high eight rebounds on the night. In a losing effort, Stephen Curry scored 34 points and knocked down four threes.

The Warriors had no answer for the Raptors inside despite DeMarcus Cousins returning to the lineup. Siakam and Marc Gasol combined to score 52 points and were very active on the defensive end.
